How to Plan a Successful Corporate Event in Nairobi

Corporate events are judged on two things: whether they ran to time, and whether people at the back could see and hear. Everything below serves those two outcomes.
Start with the programme, not the venue
Write the run sheet first — sessions, speakers, breaks, awards, entertainment. The technical scope follows from it, and so does the venue you actually need.
Check the venue's AV honestly
- Does the in-house system cover the whole room, or just the front?
- How many microphones are really available and working?
- Is there a screen large enough for the back row?
- Who operates it, and are they there for the whole event?
Rehearse presenters
Thirty minutes of rehearsal on the morning saves an hour of fumbling later. Slides loaded and tested, clickers working, lapel microphones fitted and levelled.
Decide about streaming early
Hybrid changes the camera positions, the audio routing and the internet requirement. It is a production decision, not something to add the week before.
One technical supplier
Where several suppliers split sound, lighting and screens, the gaps between them are where events go wrong. A single production team removes that risk.
